Slinkys!

Its been an entire week and more since our trip into the chavscum capital that is Slinkys in Boscombe, Bournemouth - just take a look at this article! On a sidenote that's a cool site but would you actually go around wearing T-Shirts like this?? Well if you've got a deathwish maybe.

Anyway, so the journey started off in much the same vain as ever - we headed to town, had a few drinks and made sure we had vital supplies with us for the coach to Bournemouth. Si however overstocked a wee bit and started to feel the effects of his actions rather too soon into the journey - taking the lead in the race to fill one's bladder whilst no toilet is in sight! Naturally we were all very concerned for him and made no sounds of rushing water, did not attempt to poke him or provide any other reason why he should lose control of his bladder!

Eventually though I realised that the poor boy was going to wet himself so gave the busdriver a heads-up and he told us he'd stop in about ten minute's time. Those must have been the ten longest minutes of Si's life! Being helpful citizens as we are though we went to every trouble to ensure that he was provided with a bottle should he only be able to last nine and a half minutes! Needless to say when the bus stopped Si made sure he was the first off and was still draining himself over the verge long after everyone else had returned to the bus. Oh but the relief!!

When we got there we headed straight for the pub we found last time - well we stumbled across it on the way at least! After Rob trying the one for the mouth, one for the eye trick and Si getting very friendly with Rob's friend Mark (who managed Maplins - random!) we headed onwards to The Opera House and a wicked night of trance and drum & bass with a night long set from Armen van Buriin and lot of drums, bass and rapping from Mampi Swift upstairs! You f**king knows it loves it!!

A quality night was had by all, though I did seem to run out of steam at about 4am, which personally I think is respectable considering we were probably the only ones in there not pilled-up and completely unaware of where we actually were!

It was definitely an opportunity to jump about and sweat all night and we did well!! The music was awesome both upstairs and downstairs and the Robs mates were a good laugh too - which is always a bonus. So yeh pretty much spent the whole night working our zone, well until I had to feed Si large amounts of water because he was too pissed and about to pass out. All the while he seemed a whole lot more concerned that I hit on the girl sitting next to us. Logic befalls the drunkard, as does eyesight too evidently! Poor Si - his challenge got no takers.

The break gave us a new wind and there we were - back to the hard trance of the dancefloor for the rest of the evening, mainly treading on people's feet! All good though - we were working our zones!

The obligatory trip to the kebab shop afterwards gave Rob a bit of a shock when up behind the counter popped his friend from Charcoal Grill in Portswood!! Unbelievable! It made ordering easy though - he could just ask for the usual as, well, usual!

And so to the bus and what time did we arrive back in Southampton??! Well it was about 6.30am when we reached the Civic Centre and then another 30mins walk afterwards brought us to good old 57, giving us a nice early bedtime of 7am Saturday morning! What a night!!!
