Alice and Sianne down for a right Gloucester Night Out!!

So - Gloucester on a Tuesday - hmmm - interesting choice but that was the only choice Alice gave me! My initial thoughts were Jumpin' Jaks, which was pretty much the concensus of everyone who still lives around here...but alas we were wrong!

Mr very cheeky Taximan - aren't they supposed to take, not give out gave us a lovely ride into town. As he was being so very cheeky we I felt it was necessary to pull out - Private Hire - what so you're in the Army...and other such nonsense! And why not eh?!

So at the doors of Jack's we were greeted with...well exactly that - doors. No go here. Off to Cafe René (dontstayin.com, beerintheevening.com) - more of a pub, bizarrely with a French name but hey why not...its late night and its the only place open. The other option was a very expensive and, completely unguided I hasten to add, tour of Gloucester by night. About as pointless as one of those black postcards.

We got in there and naturally got to the bar quickly, enjoying ourselves merrily, following our copious bottles of wine with my rather good Thai Curry for dinner. And then the worst thing possible happened - last orders at 12 midnight! Our luck was seriously out tonight! So up to the bar we rushed for another pint to at least get us somewhere before the place went dry!

Alice and Sianne got steadily more cosy with each other as the night went on until...well...the inevitable happened. What a moment - just like Alex and Marissa - it was very sweet!

So could you believe it?! 12pm closing on a Tuesday. This is no Jesters! So we walked to Asda, with the intension of...er...walking to Asda? Its not like licencing laws are any different there now is it. Ah well we got ourselves some mixers and very poigniantly some crumpets. We were the most unwelcome people in the supermarket - probably becuase we were the only customers and clearly drunk. But at least we managed to persuade them that it was indeed better to take a photo of us being eejits than to throw us out! Aren't I a charmer?!

Then the photos tell me we walked all the way home. Why? I guess the question is why not? Oh yeh - Alice looks like a murderer on her driver's licence. And the rest of the night was spent playing caiTunes very loud (what an invention), making the most of Rum and coke and just generally having a wicked night, just the four of us in our house! Legendary people, as ever, make for a legendary evening!
