And a few more killer weeks
So following Nicky's birthday the CompSci boys had a week of vaguely nothing...very vaguely nothing!! Although there were not hand-ins and no exams there were three handins the week after and one on the Monday after that! The first week went fairly steadily, but following this we had a week comparable to the previous killer week. What did become apparent though was how quicly we can type and even type consistently well when we are writing up something which we are confident we know a lot about - a little different to the amalgamation techniques of the Individual Research Project!
With our entertainment systems deadline on Thursday 1st June, followed by our one remaining exam on Friday 2nd this made for another week of reduced sleep. The Karting project was a lot of fun though, even if it needed constant reworks especially within the terrain loading which I was working on. It did show up how completely overexcited we got in the intial stages of our Treatment for the game though! But the final product was well worth the effort.
After the submission hardcore group revision was required for the Friday, featuring lots of tea...both for drinking and for analogies used in the exam by everyone! Awesome!!!
Friday though we celebrated with some Karting Cake - which made the slog so worthwhile! Not quite over though we had to continue on work at a rate which should have made martyrs of us! Distributed was the final deadline and in all honesty one of the best written final reports of the year I think!! Probably mostly down to the huge amount of report writing practice we've now had. All we have to see now is just how well the results go...I'm hoping for the best but we'll see...
