Señor Cai Travels the World!

Australia Zoo

Well I've never seen a kangaroo devoid of all flesh before but here you go - and did you know it has two wee bones to support its pouch? You do now. I think the most comic skeleton was the one of the turtle, all propped-up and looking rather like an old man slumped in a chair!

There was also a huge cast of the largest gold ingot ever found - weighing about 73kg and being, well, large! The bottom floor housed aboriginal art and a large exhibition about their mistreatment by the whites.

The dance mask in there looked like it'd make an awesome prop in a horror movie...something like Saw!

In the Victoria arcade (or similar) they had somehow managed to construct one really enormous Christmas tree to fill the atrium and reach from the very top to the bottom of the building! Quite impressive and all of it covered in a phenomenal number of crystals...hence why it was guarded by barriers anywhere that you could touch it!!

They also had a rotating mock Queen Elizabeth with mock crown jewels all of which seemed a little bizarre but very cute!

I then made a necessary and long-awaited trip to the Virgin Megastore to find out just what had happened in the four months we've been completely out of contact with any western music bar what's on my ipod! A few thousand songs turns into quite a small playlist over four months believe me! The new Scissor-sisters song playing in sidebar was about all the new-exposure I'd managed until that point but oh how it makes you shimmy and move your feet!
